I received my degree from Mankato State University with an emphasis in Therapeutic Recreation, along with Leisure Planning and Management. I have worked in various locations including: directing recreation departments at two other long term care facilities, working as a TR Coordinator in mental healthcare, and providing services through in-home waivered service programs. My roots are in working as a PCA and CNA in long term care and home care.

I grew up in Blaine, Minnesota, and have recently moved back to my hometown. I am the proud and busy mother of two children just entering school age. Most people don’t know that I am an avid deer hunter and love the outdoors! Of course each hunting season is different, but I have managed to be successful nearly every other season since I began hunting with my family at the age of 14. (I have pictures in my office for proof of some nice deer!)
